Tips on protecting your phone

  • Keep your phone in a separate pocket to your other belongings, such as your purse, wallet or keys.

  • Remember that the more distinctive your case is, the more likely it is to get noticed.

  • If your phone rings, see who’s around you before you answer. Think about moving somewhere else if you don’t feel safe stopping where you are.

  • Use a PIN number or your phone's security lock code to stop anyone else using your phone

  • Try using a hands free kit - this keeps your phone out of sight whilst you use it.

  • Try not to use your phone in crowded areas where you feel unsafe

  • Avoid displaying your phone in public view, where thieves can see it as a target

  • Do not leave your phone unattended and keep it with you at all times.

  • Register your phone IMEI number with MPSD Singapore for ownership identification purpose.
